Sensei: ...and the Fin Brigade were blasted into the sky.
The three fish tumble through the sky.
Sensei: But the power faded.
Kero floats on a plank, frowning.
Sensei: To get his power back, Kero must pass three trials...
A glowing map shows three shrines across the land.
Sensei: ...and only Sensei knows where they are.
Tokyo Tower rises above the city at dusk.

Meanwhile, in Kerotown…

A falling star streaks across the night sky.

Le Chomp: He had... a dragon.
The three fish huddle in the tub. Le Chomp speaks up.
Goro: A WHAT?
Goro gapes in confusion.
Le Crunch: A dragon! Made of light! Very rude!
Le Crunch complains from the middle of the tub.

An Echo Frog

Goro: An Echo Frog.
Goro leans in close, eyes narrowed.
Goro: His voice could open every lock.
Golden rings of sound spring a padlock open on a chained door.
Goro: Find him. Bring him to me... alive.
Goro roars his order.
Le Chomp: And what do we get, monsieur?
Le Chomp pipes up from the tub.
Goro: You get to NOT be sushi.
Goro looms over the tub. The fish shrink back.
Fin Brigade: Oui, chef!
The Fin Brigade salute from the tub as Goro looks on.

Somewhere at sea…

Kero: Tokyo... find Sensei... in Tokyo...
Kero sleeps on a piece of driftwood at sunrise.
Kero: Where... am I?
Kero wakes up, sweating and confused.
Kero: Which way is Tokyo?!
Kero panics, eyes huge.
Kero: Wait... I’ll FLY there!
Kero grins. He has a plan.
Kero: Dragon... POWER!
Kero shouts with all his might.
Nothing happens except a tiny hiccup.

Grandpa Kame

Kame: Tokyo?
An old turtle surfaces beside Kero’s driftwood.
Kero: How did you know?
Kero stares at the turtle.
Kame: You talk in your sleep.
Kame answers with a frown.
Kero: Tokyo’s miles away! I’ll never get there!
Kero wails on his driftwood.
Kame: Not by road. By sea.
Kame turns his shell toward Kero.
Kame: Hop on.
Kame waits beside Kero’s driftwood.
Kame: Name’s Kame. Goro boiled my river. I help anyone who’ll stop him.
Kero rides on Kame’s shell across the waves.

Long way to Tokyo

Kame: The train to Tokyo stops up there.
Kame carries Kero to a sandy shore below the cliffs.
Kero: Ow... my tummy.
Kero droops on the beach, hungry.
Kame: Long way to Tokyo. Eat.

Kame: Ah ah.
Kame stops Kero as he lifts the rice ball to his mouth.

Kame:
It’s うめぼし. A pickled plum. Romaji: umeboshi Pickled plum.
