Story spoilers aheadThe place Kero calls home
Kerotown
There’s no place quite like Kerotown!

Welcome to Kerotown! Look around and you’ll find timber houses, a dojo and even an octopus running the takoyaki stall. It’s also home to the villagers who cheer Kero on when trouble comes calling.

Those familiar streets hide a rather big surprise. Goro says the village was built over the First Dragon’s prison, and now he’s making the villagers dig to uncover it.
An ancient threat
The FirstDragon
The dragon Goro wants to set free.

Meet the First Dragon, an ancient creature bound underground with golden restraints. His body is hidden in smoke, so those glowing blue eyes are our clearest glimpse of what waits behind the seal.
Goro threatens boiling rivers, burning forests and kingdoms bowing to dragons if he frees him. It’s a frightening prospect, but there’s some good news for Kerotown: the seal is still holding.
Before the anger
Goro’s
childhood.

“I was only a hatchling.”
Goro
Before Goro arrived at Kerotown’s gates, he was a little hatchling with a home and a mother who tried to protect him. Frog soldiers drove his people out and burned their home, leaving him crying in the ruins with his toy horse.

That painful memory has stayed with him, but Kero won’t let the villagers suffer for it. We still don’t know what happened to Goro’s mother after their home was destroyed.
A rare Japanese bloodline
The Echo Frogs

Small frogs with
powerful voices!
When an Echo Frog croaks, the prison’s three locks begin to glow! Goro says their ancestors used those remarkable voices to seal away the First Dragon.

Now Goro wants those same voices to wake him instead. He says the flame of his own bloodline can then break the prison, giving these little frogs a rather important part in his plan.
Meet Kero’s hungry admirers
The Fin
Brigade!
Kero’s fans have a taste for trouble!

Meet Le Chomp, Le Crunch and Le Bubbles, three fish who seem to know all about Kero’s adventures! They’ve seen the skydiving, the sumo match and even the fan art. Unfortunately for Kero, being a fan hasn’t put them off frog legs.
Keep an eye out for the fork and bib. That’s Le Bubbles, the leader of the trio! When chasing and biting Kero don’t work, he calls his fellow fish into formation for their biggest trick yet.
Their secret technique
The Croissant of Doom

Don’t let the name fool you! The three fish combine their power to raise an enormous crescent of water, with a whirlpool below and dark clouds above. Kero is still caught nearby, and we haven’t seen how the attack ends.
Kero’s secret guide
A mysterious voice
Who is speaking to Kero?

Deep beneath the whirlpool, a glowing figure told Kero he must not fall here. The voice showed him a frightening future, told him he is an Echo Frog and lent him enough light to shape a dragon.
“For now... I will lend you my strength.”
The voice
That power was only borrowed, and the voice says its time is running out. We still don’t know who, or what, the voice really is.
What comes next
Three trials

Each trial will awaken a new power. Master all three and Kero can unlock the Golden Croak. Sensei in Tokyo knows where the trials are, but Kero will have to convince him to help.
